There are so many diet plans to lose 25 pounds that fail. I am about to give you a quick overview of a diet that will help you lose 25 pounds pretty quickly. Not only that its in a healthy manner and if you keep doing it you can lose even more. This article might not be the most well written, but if you follow it you will lose weight.

-Eat oatmeal every other morning along with one fruit of your choice. On the other morning you should eat a small bowl of cereal or some lean chicken/fruits. Make sure you do not exceed 550 calories for this small meal.

-Eat a small meal of around 350 calories around noon that consist of mainly lean meats, fruits, vegetables or whole grains. Stay away from all fast food as well as any other fattening foods like pizza, fried chicken etc.

-Eat another meal thats around 300 calories around 3 pm in the afternoon. This meal will consist of perhaps some brown rice, lean meat and some yogurt. Just make sure you keep the calories right around 300-350. Many diet plans to lose 25 pounds tell you to eat less, but if you keep the calories low it actually raises the metabolism and helps you burn more fat.

-Eat your last meal of the day at around 7:30 pm and make it around 400 calories. Again this should consist of lean meats, fruits and veggies.

Keep in mind its ok if you slip up say once every two days, you will also need to increase your exercise of course. Run around a half mile to mile per day for 5 days a week. I must also advise that you consult your doctor first before trying this new diet as he/she should be aware of any diet changes. Getting in Shape For Lazy Bastards

Okay so let me get this straight... You dont feel like making exercise a daily habit, you dont like the feeling of being out-of-breath, and youd rather stay the way you are if it means being comfortable...even if you do become an even fatter and lazier bastard in the process?

Ladies and Gentlemen - what youve just read above is the exact mindset that most out-of-shape people have when attempting to get in shape. And when they fail, they actually ask the obvious question of why they have failed... Sad isnt it?

As opposed to those types of people, I have come in contact and trained people who did have the desire to change their daily habits with the goal of getting in shape and being healthier. Now this is the mindset of a few select people who want to get in shape - and its a good mindset to have. But again, Ive also seen people fail to get in shape with this wonderful mindset...

The reasons: Okay, for the lazy mindset - its obvious why they fail. If you go into any activity with the I dont feel like it mood, guess what, you most likely will fail and you wont get anywhere because all of your energy will be focused on not wanting to be there doing whatever is it youre doing. Or for some fat and lazy people, their energy will be focused on which flavored donut theyll purchase when the training is over. Whatever it is you focus on while physically training, if youre focus is not centered on progression and self-improvement - you are doomed to fail.

As for the pre-motivated types, the reason why some of them fail is because they lack consistency after they start training. To give you a more clear vision on what I mean, Ill tell you about a particular client I began to train recently...

A friend of mine heard about my fitness training services one day and decided that he wanted me to help him get in shape. He called me up and we met at a location. He was so worked up and was motivated to get in shape and have more daily energy - and with this mindset, he couldnt possibly fail, could he? Well, for the first few days he used my advice and trained really hard and actually started to make progress. However, one day, a day in which he scheduled physical training for himself, he decided to slack off and take a break. So he did take a break for that one day... And soon, that one day off turned into 5 days off!

Can you believe that? He quit training for one day and resumed back to his old habits...and all the progress he made from improving his stamina to increasing his muscle base all disappeared within a week. He basically threw every little progress he made out the window. And after that, he simply forgot about training.

Of course, being the persistent S.O.B. I am, I pushed him forward after hearing about his fall and he did achieve his fitness goals after about a month of consistent training (powered by me).

But the main lesson to learn here is this: No matter what shape, size, or physical state you are in, if you train consistently, you will succeed at getting in shape and achieving your goals in a reasonable amount of time.

There are various quick ways being advertised for instant weight loss. We are bombarded by such constant advertisements everyday. I have tried none of these (except the diet pill that my mom made me take when I was 15) but here is what I know from others experience:

  • Machines that promises to 'shake' your fat away- all you need to do is to stand on them and let the machine do all the work to shake off the fat.
  • Diet pills- yeah, my mom had me try them when I was 15- ended up gaining more weight that I have lost. Also, you'll never know what they put inside those pills or if proper testing have been done. Pharmaceutical companies produces these pills and some of them are recalled every year because it is found to be dangerous to health- this shortcut can result to possible liver and kidney damage. I remember a neighbor of mine tried some diet pills- and develop severe allergy reactions- her whole body was swollen and pimples (with pus) developed all over her face. She had to be hospitalised. Another woman from Singapore suffered a failed liver and would have died if not because of her boyfriend (who is an actor) donated part of his liver to save her life.
  • Creams that you can apply on problem area and miraculously the cellulite on that part is supposed to disappear- they normally do not. Some people develop skin allergies from that.
  • Meal replacement shakes- they are a torture to take and no one I know can keep off weight long term by taking them.
  • Taking laxatives- take the food, following by a strong laxative so that the food is purged out. It is very unhealthy and causes the body to lose crucial nutrients- it affects the digestive system. Not having enough nutrients, various illness will catch up with the person later.
  • Slimming centers- you spent tonnes of money on them on them- and they will do some kinda slimming wraps or herbal or chili or whatever wraps that is supposed to help. And they will give you some eating plans emphasizing on low calorie diet- these plans or recipes- you can get it for free from so many websites out there. And you have to keep going back and pay through your nose- else, you will gain the weight back easily
  • Liposuction- very painful because it is literally flushing all the fat out from your body. If you are not careful, you will gain it back within 2 months.
  • Gastric bypass surgery- cutting off a part of the stomach- normally people who are so fed up because they can never seemed to lose weight finally resort to making their stomach so small that it's not possible for them to stuff themselves with food. A number of celebrities who were battling with a lifelong struggle with weight had resorted to this. I strongly feel this is not a solution- uncontrollable food cravings are both and biological- why not address the deeper issue instead of taking a shortcut. Furthermore, the person had to be on supplements, medication and planned meals their entire lives.

The best and safest method to lose weight and keep it off longer is through sensible eating and exercising. Going for various kinds of weight loss gimmicks/short-cut may endanger your health, make you lose muscle instead of fat, lowers your metabolism (making it more difficult for you to lose weight later), etc. In the end, the regained weight may further lower your self-esteem and self-worth.
